Serve Day

Jesus told His disciples, in Mark 10:43-45, “whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve”

On Sunday, June 28, our entire family will gather at the church at 8:30am for a time of worship and prayer. Then those who are participating in SERVE DAY will drive across the street to EMBER HOPE, 900 W Broadway, for a morning of serving. At Noon we will return to church for lunch in the Family Life Center.

The Indoor Crew will be organizing rooms, sorting supplies, and going through donated clothing

Some of these jobs require standing, and some will be done at a table while sitting

There is 1/2 a flight of stairs leading to the basement that workers must be able to climb

There will be some light lifting

The Indoor Crew is open to men and women, boys and girls of all ages

The outdoor crew has 2 jobs - cut down a tree and edge the lawn along the sidewalks

Bring - Gloves, Ear Plugs, Eye Protection, Chainsaw, Edger, Leaf Blower

NOTE - No one under the age of 18 is permitted to run any power equipment
