Pastor Jeremy Halstead

Pastor Jeremy and Rhonda Halstead grew up in Wichita, went to junior high & high school together, began dating during their junior year, attended Bethel College (N. Newton, Ks) for one year, got engaged at the altar of the First Church of God, Newton, married shortly after, and moved to Oklahoma City so that Jeremy could attend Mid-America Bible College (Class of 1995). They have two sons, Jordan (Catie) and Justin (Marissa), and three grandchildren, Ollie, Addy and Owen.

Jeremy is an ordained minister in the Church of God Reformation Movement, Anderson, Indiana (1999). He served in student ministries within the Church of God for 21 years, as a hospital chaplain for one year, and as a senior pastor for six years prior to moving back to Newton.

Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s degree (Mid-America Bible College) and a Master’s degree (Huntington University), both in student ministries. He is a published author, rides a bike for Ends Cycling, and hosts the Facebook page “PJs Bike Ride.”
